My funny wife

Tonight was a family night. After Natalie got home we took the kids to the church softball field. We have signed Brian up to play T-Ball this spring. We took our t-ball stand and the kids took turns hitting the balls, chasing the balls, running the bases and just enjoying being outside. Afterwards we took the kids to Subway. Brian was pretty apprehensive about not getting fries and a burger. But once we got to the restaurant and they saw all the toppings, bread, and meat, they were ready. Brian only had meat and cheese on his sandwich. He was very excited about that. Kallie was so excited to have olives and cucumbers on hers.

After the kids went to bed Natalie and I settled in to watch our shows we had recorded for the night. Of course, American Idol is on the list. Natalie and I have watched every season except for the first. And even then we saw the last couple (enough to see Kelly Clarkson win). So here are our favorites;

Natalie's

Andy's

So why is my wife so funny. After all the seasons of American Idol, tonight she finally voted. And she didn't just dip a toe in the water, she did the run and flying leap into the pool. Supposedly you are allowed to call in for an hour after the show. She started voting at 8:40PM and finished at 9:05PM. I don't know if that last five minutes of voting counted, but I do know that 20 minutes of constant voting did. I knew she was voting, but 10 minutes after her first vote, I looked over and she was on the phone again. I asked, "How many times have you voted?" She gave me a funny look and said, "Lots, is that OK?" After a quick visit to the T-Mobile website to verify our plan had free long distance, she was off and voting again. So Brooke has a bit more of an edge this week than she has in the past weeks. We will watch in anticipation tomorrow to see if it helped. Nat doesn't think Brooke will win it all, but she wants her to last longer than Jason. Either way, I bet my sweetheart will be voting for her favorite next week.

I did the same thing Natalie did. I started voting 5 minutes before the show started. I voted for Brooke (my 2nd fave) and David Cook, my fave. Let's hope she survives one more week!!!

Brian and I are with you Andy. We are David Archuleta fans. I would have to say that David Cook is my least favorite only because I think he is pretty arrogant and fake. I used to be a Brooke fan, but not the last couple weeks. I love the show.

LOL I think David Cook will go far. I think the final two will be David VS. David. I can see why you would think David Cook is arogant. I guess I have seen enough of the fiming that is not on stage to see him as confident but humble. Its harder to see now because we don't get to see alot of it. But in the earlier episodes it showed him really looking out for the other contestants and that made me like him more.

I think he is a amazing at rewritting songs to make them work for him. His version of Billie Jean rocked. Rocked so much I downloaded it from I-Tunes =D
