Natalie and I were really excited to try out the new restaurant in Logan. We had seen this on our last trip to Logan. It looked really classy and there were tons of people waiting outside to get in. So we told each other that we would try it the next time around. The restaurant is Blackstone.
They even have a good website (I discussed that in the Goodwood Review), http://www.blackstonelogan.com/.
I have read some pretty scathing reviews online about this restaurant. I totally disagree with them. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and very classy. Think twice before wearing shorts to this place. While you would get away with it, if your self conscious at all, you will feel it there. Also a shirt and a tie would be overdressed. However I could easily imagine high school kids in prom dresses and tuxes sitting at the tables. They supposedly have a kids meal, but the place was pretty nice, and my kids only have one volume (loud) so I would take them to a more family oriented restaurant than Blackstone.
We got in a booth. Natalie and I are tall people and the booth backs towered above us so we didn't feel like we were being watched.
((**Warning** if you have a shred of respect for Andy don't read this next paragraph)
However from the side we sat next to, "An It." "An It" is a person that you can't tell if it is a male or a female. Picture Gene Simmons with jet black hair the is very fine with tiny curls for the entire hairdo. I know it makes me evil to say this, but I depending on the angle of it's face, I changed my mind on if it was a boy or a girl about 100 times. I finally decided guy, but who knows. Any ways back to the review))
The staff there was courteous and were all willing to interact and say the things that make you want to come back.
I expected Hamilton's prices or more, but was happy to see Maddox prices on the menu. I had prime rib for a bit under $20.00. Natalie had fish. There menu wasn't so exotic that I couldn't find anything to eat. In fact, if needed, I could have picked a lot of different things. And for those of you who know how picky I am, some of these meals didn't even have beef as a major portion.
Now I have come up with prime rib ranking in my head. Of course Goodwood's is in a class all its own with its divine smokey flavor. But here goes;
1. Maddox
2. Copper Mill
3. Blackstone
4. Iron Gate Grill
5. Ye Lions Den
(*you will notice Hamilton's is not on the list. I needed my arm and my leg that day, so I chose another dinner other than prime rib when we were there)
So as you can see, Blackstone holds its own. Now of course I would prefer Copper Mill, but when Natalie decides she wants to go back and try something new, I will be just fine walking into Blackstone. And I will give it high recommendations to anyone who asks.

You should be a movie critic or a restraunt reviewer. I love the reviews. We just watched Ratatoullie yesterday and the restraunt critic in it reminded me of you.
