A game I won't likely forget for decades to come

On Monday, my brother-in-law, Lance, called and offered me one of their season tickets to the BYU game VS. UCLA. It takes quite a bit to keep me from taking a free ticket on a day that I don't work. I worried about the game all week. I knew that if any team had a chance to beat BYU this season, this was going to be 1 of 2 teams I was worried about. To make matters worse, I was sick all week. I kept waiting for my disease of death to leave, but never got lucky. I decided even if I had to go with an IV stand, I was gonna be there.

So on the way to the game I stopped by the doctors office for a visit. Of course, I stripped off all my BYU paraphernalia. I didn't want the doctor to look at me and chastise me for being on my deathbed and heading to a football game. I found out I had a sinus infection, grabbed my prescriptions and drove down to Provo. It is always such a good experience to be at the game in person.

Lance and Rachel have some pretty good season tickets. I loaded up on some expensive, but terribly delicious, stadium food and enjoyed the game. It turns out it was a game I will most likely never forget. It was BYU's second biggest win in history!

Well as most of you know, the game was awesome (if your a BYU fan). I imagine the suicide hot line is ringing off the hook in UCLA country today. BYU administered a beat down on UCLA, 59-0. It was so bad, that they (UCLA) haven't been beaten that badly since 1929. And BYU hasn't pummeled someone so hard since 1988 when they trashed New Mexico 65-0. I believe these pictures say it all. (Click the Pictures for bigger versions)

Now I don't know the caption on this next picture, but I have one for you.... "UCLA Coach ?, reacts to the scoreboard after showing up late to the game."

This game was absolutely awesome, we felt pretty bad for the ROTC guys that have to do push ups for every score. My clapping muscles were tired, and my voice was shot by the end of the game. What a great time. I owe this one to Lance and Rachel, thanks for thinking of me, I loved it. When they post some pics on their blog of us at the game I will add those as well. ( I already got permission to steal them). And now I am even more excited for the "Marchant Family Annual BYU Extravaganza", next week at the BYU VS. Wyoming game!

GO COUGS!
