Alright. This is my very first post, and it had to be something I thought to be interesting. (Something more than movie and restaurant reviews. I leave that to the real critic in the family.) So, you are all wondering what would finally bring me out of my blog shell?
I had the opportunity to shake Prophet Monson's hand. Now, I have met him previously as an apostle, when I decided if I was going to meet him why not sing? ( He was on his way with his wife and granddaughter to see the play "The Music Man." His granddaughter had never seen the play, so me being the actress I am (lol), sang a line of "76 Trombones." Just to make myself more memorable.) Well, I think it worked. Because for Mother's Day weekend President Monson brought his wife in to Maddox, and he stopped on his way to his table, to shake my hand and talk to me.
I have a new memory of the loving prophet as he took time away from the woman in his life, to shake the hands of the teary-eyed mothers, and give high-fives to the little children.
I wonder when the Savior comes again, will he give high-fives? I would like hope so.
My only regret, is that it was a Saturday, and my children weren't across the parking lot where I could get them, and bring them to meet prophet. Maybe one day they will have the opportunity to give the Savior a high-five instead.

WOW WOW WOW! Triple Wow! That is so cool. I am really jealous. You were in the right place at the right time. Once they sat to have their dinner, did the people leave them alone to eat? I would have loved to have been seated right next to them, or to wait on them. Very cool!
PS I am so glad you posted. I love to hear from you.
That is so neat!!! I remember seeing him at a circus when I was little and it was exciting. How cool to have him actually shake your hand.
Oh Natalie! That is the best ever. I'm so glad that you shared it with us. I can vividly remember shaking President Kimballs hand and I know exactly how you felt. Except that he remembers you from before. That's even better. You certainly deserve this special moment!!
I love you,
Love, Mom M.
