"Po the panda (Jack Black) works in his family's noodle shop and dreams of becoming a kung-fu master. His dream becomes a reality when, unexpectedly, he must fulfill an ancient prophecy and study the skills with his idols, the Furious Five. Po needs all the wisdom, strength and ability he can muster to protect his people from an evil snow leopard." - From KSL.COM
I admit I have wanted to see this movie ever since the previews started airing. I really have come to like Jack Black from his cameo appearances on American Idol. He just seems like a nice, funny guy. The kids have also wanted to see this movie. They are big Arthur fans, and the promotional guy for this movie deserves a raise. Every Arthur on TV, now has a Kung Fu Panda commercial associated with it. It definitly had sunk in, since my kids thought they needed to re-enact the fight scenes from the previews while jumping on the tramp. So we were all excited to see it.And I must say this movie is absolutely fantastic. What a pleasant experience taking the family to this movie. There wasn't a member of my family that didn't laugh out loud at numerous parts of the movie. And our kids didn't take their eyes off the screen. We made it thru the entire movie with only one kid bathroom break! And trust me thats a new record (it's what they do when they are bored). One of the best things about this movie was, no adult innuendos. This was just a good, clean, story. You can't help but love the characters in this movie.
I would jump at the chance to see this movie again. I seriously considered a 4 star rating for this movie, I loved it so much. I will most definitly purchase it for the kids, and I am sure it will be watched on a regular basis in my house. And you know its good, when the next day, the kids are still talking about the movie.
If you get a chance to see this one, take it. We loved it!
