Well BYU Football has an unexpected bye week this week. They were supposed to play San Diego State this week in Qualcomm Stadium. But, because of the wildfires, the stadium has been turned into a place where they have been keeping evacuees from the fires. They have reported that up to 13,000 people have been staying there at a time.
Our friends, Matt and Britney, had to change their weekend vacation location from San Diego to Oregon because they couldn't even fly into San Diego. So up until today, I was fine with this. People are homeless because of the fires, and I was worried about a football game. I was only going to be able to listen on the radio, because I had to work anyway. I wondered why they wouldn't just change the location of the game. But then I thought about the Latter-Day Saint population in San Diego. I bet they make "buko" bucks when BYU comes to town. And if I was San Diego State, I wouldn't want to play BYU in Provo. BYU hasn't lost at home in a long time. I think their home win streak is something like 14 games unbeaten. And then, there would be the fact that my football game displaced 13,000 people that just had their homes burned down.
So I was OK with this. But then, I found out that the San Diego Chargers will be playing in the stadium on Sunday.
NOT FAIR! I am sure the NFL has a lot of pull. I mean lets face it, the Mountain West Conference is not really an intimidating group. They can't even get football games to go over DirecTV and Dish Network.
Now I will deal with this. Don't think I am fully heartless.
Wait, this one looks more like me (he has my belly);
Anyways, I am dragging on. I will be sad without a BYU game to think about today. And, the end of the season will just feel weird. After the University of Utah game it is usually time to look forward to a bowl game. Now we will look forward to San Diego State? It will just be weird.
Well enjoy your Saturday everyone. I hope Charisse's wedding shower goes really good. Natalie will be there in spirit. And it will be exciting to see everyone over the next month.
And lets all sing, Rise and Shout, the ........... Charger's are out. Grrrrrrrr!

We are with you on this one. Brian was rather disappointed there wasn't a game. Since we were down in Provo he could have watched it on his brother's Provo cable (apparently a subsidary of Comcast). I love your blog!
Yay I got a comment! Thanks Heather, I check your blog regularly.
We really need to get some other people more involved with this blogging thing. I love reading the comments people make about my blog, so I always make sure that I comment on other people's blogs. i think we should gang up on Brian and Michelle. They are the most likely to start with since they usually do that update email every once in a while. I know that mom checks mine, so I am assuming that she is checking yours. I think that maybe people don't know that they have the option to comment. I also wish that it had a counter thing on the blog where you could see how many times your page had been viewed. Make sure you post your kid's Halloween pictures. I will be excited to see them in their costumes.
I love your blog too. Thanks for all the cute pictures. The video was of course my favorite. But the grinch is a close second.
